Sammy Damaren

Sammy has been actively involved at ConfiDance Studio as a dancer, teacher and choreographer. She has been training since the age of three in ballet, jazz, hip hop, contemporary, tap, acro and lyrical. Sammy has been competitive dancer with ConfiDance since 2001 and has won various awards for performance and excellence. Sammy is a graduate of the Eastwood Collegiate Integrated Arts Program under the direction of Janis Price and has graduated as an Honour Roll student with an Arts diploma. At Eastwood, Sammy contributed to Kinesis and Jazz Co. as a participant as wells as director/choreographer. As a competitive dancer, Sammy has been recognized for her choreography and exceptional ability to relate to music through her expression of movement. Sammy is currently pursuing an Honours Arts degree at the University of Waterloo majoring in Peace/Conflict Studies and Digital Arts.  Throughout her study period at UW she has been an active member of the UW Dance Team as both a dancer and a choreographer.  Sammy has a passion for travel and contributing to the improvement of environmental issues, which has taken her all over the world including NYC and Cambodia, she will soon be leaving to study in Swansea, Wales.  Sammy is proud to be a faculty member at ConfiDance Studio; her second home and first love.
